This is a fluxgate magnetometer that is pointed north. It measures the strength of the H-Field component of earth magnetic field. The 30 Minute Disturbance value indicates how unsettled the magnetosphere is. It takes the min and max of the most recent 30 minutes worth of data. The higher the number the more unsettled the magnetosphere is. Less than 15nT is considered calm conditions.
